Entry
Visitors must have a current passport and an onward or return ticket.  Certain countries might require a Visa.  Citizens of the U.S., British Commonwealth Nations and European Union Countries do not require a Visa. 

Weather
Temperatures vary from 65-95F.  The rainy season June-Aug. can average 50" of rain in the north and 170" in the south.  The dry months are Feb-May.  Hurricanes occur occasionally and most likely to hit Aug-Sept.

Water
Temperature averages between 75-84F.

Currency
Local currency is the Belize dollar, but US dollars, travelers checks and major credit cards are accepted everywhere.

Diving Levels
Diving in Cozumel ranges from shore diving to as deep as you are certified to dive. All dives in Cozumel are drift dives.

Visibility
Visibility in the waters of Cozumel are 100 plus feet.

Currents
The current varies from reef to reef, and day to day.


Language
English is the official language.  Spanish, Creole, Mayan and Carifuna are also spoken.

Health
Rainwater is collected for drinking and home use, so tap water is potable and can be used for drinking.

Departure tax
There is a $15 US departure tax.  This must be paid in cash or travelers checks (credit cards are not accepted for departure tax).
