DESCRIPTION OF ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
FOR PARISH EUCHARISTIC ADORATION PROGRAM
Pastor:
1. Opening
Liturgy
2. Monthly replacement of Host
3. Enthusiastic support and prayers
4. Repose of Blessed Sacrament ( if
someone else not available )
Head Coordinator:
1. Communicates
directly with Pastor concerning operation of entire adoration program.
2. Overall organization and problem
solving of entire program and supervision of Division Leaders.
3. Substitutes for a Division
Leader, when required.
4. Updates register book and
assures that all hours will be covered. Contacts appropriate Division Leader/coordinator regarding
any problem.
5. Creates, instructs and
distributes adoration procedures and guidelines for all levels of the
organization, as well as for the hourly adorers.
6. Creates and implements methods
to attract more people to participate in adoration from own parish and area
parishes.
Division Leaders (4
maximum):
1. General
supervision and assistance to coordinators to assure that all holy hours are
covered and substitutes during times not covered.
2. Filling in for coordinators, as
required.
3. Updates a list of
coordinators’ and adorers’ names and telephone numbers for each division.
4. Establishes and updates reading
materials for adorers, assuring that only church approved materials remain in
the racks.
Coordinators (28
maximum):
1. Contact
person for all hourly adorers.
2. Assists in finding substitutes
for adorers who cannot fulfill a given holy hour.
3. Substitutes for an adorer who
cannot find a replacement.
4. Updates schedule changes for
Division Leaders.
5. Telephones adorers at the start
of the adoration program to encourage and remind them of their adoration
schedule, and updates the log.
7. Assists in finding replacements
for holy hours not covered.
8. Continually inspires and
motivates associate adorers and seeks new adorers.
