APOSTLES
OF THE REAL PRESENCE
Devoted to Restoring the Faith and Understanding in the
Real Presence of
Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist
APOSTLES' PRESENTATION AT WEEKEND MASSES
MASS TALK 2
Good (evening/morning/afternoon). My name is ............ from the
......... . I would like to first thank your/our pastor Fr. ______ for allowing
us to speak for a few minutes on Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
Thank you also Father for "your" faith and love for our Lord in
the Holy Eucharist, and the true pastoral care that you show your congregation
in wanting them to know Christ more deeply in this great Sacrament of Love.
May the good Lord bless you all abundantly!
Suppose for a moment that your very favorite musical performer in the
whole world was going to be in town for dinner at a friend's house.
And suppose that your friend, knowing how much you loved that celebrity,
made it possible for you to be at that dinner too. And not only that, but he has arranged that you could even
spend some personal time afterwards, to get to talk to and perhaps even become
best friends with this special person!
Well, I have good news for you! Someone
greater than this celebrity, greater than a president or a princess, greater
than any superstar; is waiting to spend time with just you! That person is JESUS CHRIST, really present, truly alive and
full of love for you in the Most Blessed Sacrament.
And His friend, Fr. (your pastor) has made it possible that along
with being a guest each week at the great Sacrificial Banquet which we call the
Mass; and receiving His nourishing heavenly Food which we call Holy Communion;
you will also be able to spend at least one hour with our Great God in adoration
of His Sacramental Presence for some personal "quality time," just
with Him.
Yes, Jesus is here waiting to hear about our lives and concerns, our
struggles, our pain, our joys, everything.
And we can pour out our love and appreciation for Him.
He truly sees us and hears us. He
comforts and heals us and our families. By the way, the Saints say that His Mother, and our Blessed
Mother, is always close by!
Mother Teresa said that "no where on earth are you more welcomed, no
where on earth are you more loved, than by Jesus, living and truly present in
the Most Blessed Sacrament.” The
time you spend with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the best time you will
spend on earth. Each moment that
you spend with Jesus will deepen your union with Him and make your soul
everlastingly more glorious and beautiful in heaven, and will help bring about
an everlasting peace on earth. When
you look at the crucifix you understand how much Jesus loved you. When you look at the Sacred Host, you understand how much
Jesus loves you NOW.
The Holy Father, Pope John Paul
II, has a dream. He envisions
Catholics praying around the clock, adoring the Blessed Sacrament and feeling
the great power of Perpetual Adoration on every continent. "Every member of the Church must be vigilant in seeing
that this sacrament of love shall be at the center of the life of the people of
God so that through all of the manifestations of worship due to it, Christ shall
be given back "love for love," and truly become the life of our souls.
The best, the surest and most effective way of establishing PEACE on the
face of the earth is through the great power of Perpetual
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament."
The restoring of Christ's
Eucharistic reign in all its power will have the capacity to change hearts,
souls, individuals, families, society and the very structure of the world. Every
man, woman and child experiences a new effect of God's love and mercy for every
holy hour made. Our Holy Father
also says, "Your faith will help you to realize that it is Jesus Himself
present in the Blessed Sacrament, waiting for you and calling you to spend one
special specific hour with Him each week."
Jesus said "I will not leave you orphans, behold I will be with you
even unto the very end of the world."
Each of you, please consider spending time visiting with Jesus Himself,
exchanging “love for love” for one special hour each week. Fill in the sign-up sheets at the back of the church.
By making a commitment for Jesus for one hour a week, you will be
blessed, your family will be blessed, and your parish will be blessed.
Someone will be at the back of the church to help you if you have any
questions.
A meeting will be held on _______evening, “date,”
for all people who have signed up to visit and adore Jesus.
It is very important that everyone attend so we can begin the process of
getting the actual adoration program started as soon as possible.
So again, please visit the sign-up table in the rear of the church, and remember, God cannot be outdone in generosity. The Lord is waiting for you in the Blessed Sacrament with His healing love. Thank you again, and may God Bless you all for your efforts!
