As Aradashe is an island, land and sea transport are both important to Aradasheans. In ancient times, they relied on llamas to carry their possessions. The arrival of the quagga some time before the beginning of the Age of New Wind brought a revolution. llamas were not large enough for humans to ride, but the quagga, which was probably introduced from the continent of Hyasi, added a whole new dimension to transportation—and warfare. In warfare, Aradasheans also use elephants and small, swift dinosaurs.

Aradasheans have always been good shipwrights. Their designs were typically beyond those of other lands. They were the first with many innovations. It is even agreed among most scholars that Ekopo the dominant sea power today, was historically profoundly influenced by Aradashean ship construction. Ironically, Ekopo would later be the model for advanced Aradashean navies. Aradashean water craft have many roles: fishing boats, warships, merchant vessels, and dockside homes.
