Some idea napkinsketches of a way to quick-mount the tailboom. The primary idea for the tail involves a 3-foot steel I-beam bolted for it's rear 2 feet into the tailboom section under the interior flat reinforcement panel, and possibly adding another (glassed?) plywood brace from that vertically up to the inside of the top of the tailboom. The front 1-foot of the beam would go thru a small I-beam-shaped hole in a steel plate bolted to the inside of the cabin with the existing holes there. Welded to that plate would be two triangles of steel (made from the outer pieces of the sheet that the plate is cut from) that ride right up onto the surface of the I-beam, trapping it in place, preventing horizontal or vertical movement. A simple hitch-pin thru a single hole in the I-beam inside the cabin prevents the tail from being accidentally pulled out of the back while on display.

Napkinsketches showing the possibility of scratchbuilding the enginepods from sheet ABS plastic, and vacuforming the patientpods, and some other stuff, and a possible idea for a cockpit (I have to actually get into the AA to see what space is there, and get the dimensions for the chair already going to be used for pilot's seat, before I can design any actual cockpit beyond this kind of rough idea sketch).

Ideas when I was bored at lunch today waiting for my food; I can't remember right now what that door-wall looked like from the inside or if it was even shown. (I'm still waiting for my DVD's to get here; ashamed to say I never got a set until now)
