DISCLOSURES:
Core Beliefs:
Arizona Christian Homeschoolers welcomes all of the various major Christian
denominations.
Our diversity is our strength.
Examples of the various major denominations in alphabetical order are
Baptists, Catholics, Churches of Christ, Episcopal, Luthern, Methodist,
Pentecostal, Presbyterian and Non-Denominational Christian Churches. Those who desire either a broader view or
narrower view will most likely feel more comfortable in the other various
wonderful homeschool groups offered in the valley. As do all Christians, we define a family
as a father and a mother. Also, we believe in the sanctity of both marriage and
life. As Christians, prayers are
given prior to Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter potluck events and/or any
other events our members wish to preside over.
Arizona Christian Homeschoolers has a “No Gossip Policy” regarding other groups in effect at all
times: Coming to park day and events
should always be a positive experience for ourselves and our visitors. Many of us veteran homeschoolers have
participated in various groups in the valley and many continue to have dual
memberships. Please do not jeopardize
our relationships or reputation across the valley with careless negative
comments. Memberships can be revoked
for jeopardizing our reputation.
Revocation of Membership: Members will be
asked to leave the group only if their conduct affects the members at large
and/ or the groups core focus regarding Involvement, Integrity, Respect, and
Friendships. It is a two-step
process where the members will have a chance to sit confidentially to discuss
their side of the issues. The members
will be given time to understand how their behavior is negatively affecting the
group’s Core Focus. It is the
president’s job to protect the group’s Core Focus of Involvement, Integrity,
Respect, and Friendship. A minimum of
one month of time is deserved by the member to correct their behavior if they
so choose. At this time, all members will
be expected to display compassion and refrain from gossip towards all the
parties involved. This is to
guarantee fair treatment and to allow time for compassion with forgiveness from
all the members affected.
Conduct: In order to make this a friendly and peaceful
place for us to gather, for us to easily make friendships, we want to keep the
code of conduct simple. The golden rule
states: Please
treat others in the manner of respect that you would like to be given. None of us
want to be embarrassed. If you have a
conflict, it is best to keep it between the two families. Your discussions regarding conflict should
remain confidential and private and not spill over onto the playground or
ramadas. If you are not a member
involved, we ask that you show respect by refraining from becoming involved in
the dispute.
As Christian adults, when we cannot agree and the
matter is severe, we are to take it to a third party discretely. Please find someone both families can trust
to help you solve this problem.
If the issue is serious enough, you may bring it up
to any Core Member (President, VP, Treasurer, Secretary). That member will address it privately and
discretely away from the park. Whomever
you spoke with will give you the Core Members’ final decision regarding the
issue. Please do not involve the
Core Members or general members if it does not directly affect the core values
of Integrity, Involvement, Respect, and Friendships.
