ImageNav by ArmchairAthlete

Description

Welcome to ImageNav. This bit of Javascript was designed to make it easier to browse a series of images. It provides "Next Image" and "Previous Image" buttons to move through a series of numbered images (image01.jpg, image02.jpg, etc). Most of the time one cannot navigate through a gallery of images in this way, or if a site does have navigational buttons it also has lots of ads/bloat on the same page. A user must typically either manually edit the url and then go to the next image or close the window with the current image and find the next picture in the gallery of thumbnails or list of images. Now you can easily browse through images almost all the time!

Instructions

To use ImageNav simply copy the URL of the image you want to start with (like http://www.blizzard.com/wow/images/screens/all/ss146.jpg), paste it into the text box, and click the "New Series" button.

Tips

Troubleshooting

Some sites protect their images from being visited through a remote link. In these situations ImageNav will not be able to display the images you're trying to browse. I do not yet know a way around this. Most URLs of numbered images will work. The pictures can be on the web or on your own computer. However, images with file extensions longer than 3 characters or named something like "image01a.jpg" will not work.
