We've designed Mele Kohola to be a place where you can relax and enjoy gorgeous sunrises and sleep to the rhythmic and lulling sound of breaking waves. Whether you choose to just relax on the front porch and enjoy the ocean breezes while scanning the horizon for whales, dolphins and turtles or casually dine on the back patio and enjoy the warm Hawaiian sunshine, we hope that Mele Kohola is a place that you can call home during your vacation stay.

Mele Kohola on a Spring evening as the sun sets over the mountains. There are decks off of both the living room and the master bedroom/bath as well as another patio deck off of the dining room for outdoor picnics. The entryway accesses both levels, each with separate master bedroom, bath and kitchen, offering some separation and privacy if you have more than one family in your group.
The upstairs livingroom area is decorated with warm tropical furniture with a contemporary Asian flair. The private deck has stunning views of the ocean and coastline and features friendly ocean breezes. The cabinet includes a stereo for listening to your local Hawaiian music and programming or your favorite CD.
The upstairs livingroom also includes a really comfy lounge chair accompanied by the coolest pineapple lamps. Admittedly, this chair is my favorite. This is the chair that I lounged on, deck door open to the ocean breeze and the sound of crashing waves, when I wrote the welcome letter in the guest book.
The dining room has a tropical flair accented by brightly colored Hawaiian flowers and Hawaiian themed dining table and chairs. It has Mauka views and convenient patio access for outdoor dining.
The kitchen has all new appliances and the gleam of the hardwood cabinets reflects the pride of Aloha in the house. Fresh, locally grown fruit makes a perfect addition to your stay while the aroma of Hawaiian coffee is the perfect thiing to wake up to in the morning.
The downstairs living room reflects casual relaxation and includes satellite television as well as DVD player for your faorite movies. It also has convenient yard and ocean access and a nice comfy sofa to lounge in on those pleasant Hawaiian evenings.
The lower level also features a mini-kitchen with dishes and sink if you'd prefer to have a casual dinner in front of the television as well as easy garage access.
The upstairs master bedroom has a soft and welcoming bed supported on top of a warm, tropical hardwood bedframe, lots of closet space for your wardrobe, a gorgeous Korean hardwood stair step dresser and a comfortable private bathroom and private patio where you can sit and watch the amazing Mele Kohola sunrises.
The downstairs Master bedroom is adjacent to the television area for those late nights in front of the TV. It features a comfy queen-sized bed, lots of closet space and an accompanying bathroom and shower.
On the second floor, there is also a perfect bedroom for the singles in your party or for the children. There are two soft twin beds, closets , pocket lamps and Mauka and street views.
For those who just cannot leave work behind, we have converted one of the bedrooms into an office with hardwood desk, phone with unlimited local calls and Mauka views. It also includes a futon couch/bed for those late nights in front of the computer or phone.
