Another Kittiwake Colony. Note how the nests are glued right to the sides of the rock. Luckily for them, the Sound is very calm or they'd get washed right off of the rock.

These sealions were moving fast in a little "herd". They were so fast, I initially thought they were dolphins pacing the ship. Given that the roving Killer Whales eat sealions (the local Killer Whales live off of Salmon), I suppose the sealions have good reason to stay in a group and to swim fast.

The partially healed bite marks on this sea lion show what happens if you lag behind. This one lived to swim for another day. By the wide spacing between the teeth marks, I'm guessing it was something huge like a Killer Whale that attempted to eat this poor little sealion.
