Carol was a
long time member of the American Chesapeake Club and beloved
breeder of Chesapeakes, Dobermans and Samoyeds in the San
Diego area.
In addition to the American Chesapeake
Club, Carol was a working member of the Cabrillo Kennel Club,
Del Sur Kennel Club, Aztec Doberman Pinscher Club of San
Diego, Doberman Pinscher Club of America and the Samoyed Club
of America.
Believing in responsible ownership and that
dogs should be capable of performing the tasks for which they
were bred, she routinely placed titles on both ends of her
dogs names by earning obedience, hunting and working degrees
in addition to their breed championships.
In a lasting tribute to her life and
commitment to animals, friends, family and local dog clubs
have made combined donations in her memory of almost
$50,000.00 to the Center for the Reproduction of Endangered
Species (CRES) at the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park.
Carol is pictured with her
"rescue" Chesapeake, CH Arrow's Covey Buster, WD,
whom she saved from the shelter, finished in nine shows,
earned his WD after one hour of training and who was also
taken before his time.
