Welcome to the Art Help website
Utilizing donated works of art for sale to support the distribution of knowledge and the education of underprivilaged communities and nations.
Art Help's goal is to support the poor and suffering. Through sales of donated works of art, as well as my own work, we can support programs that make necessary information available to struggling nations and communities. This information should include, but not be limited to, organic agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and sanitation. This process should not be influenced by religious, government, or corporate methods; information is free for the people's advantage without intrusion on the people's culture, beliefs or way of life.
We are dedicated to improving and sustaining quality of life for all people in all parts of the world. A work of art can be sold again and again, so it has great potential to generate funds to help those in need. Art is not just an object to be enjoyed by the creator or owner; it is a way of life; the physical expression of an individual with his surroundings. An artist and a homeless man exist in the same world. The artist has something to offer, and the homeless man is in need. Art is pure luxury, an emotional activity; poverty is pure necessity, an expression of need. Art is created out of excess, surplus material, and is nonfunctional. Suffering is caused by lack of resources, polluted water, and disease. The issues of mankind are the issues of the artist.
Art shall be the inspiration for Art Help's goals. The creation of form, function and beauty; living life to the best of our knowledge, including all people; realizing that everything we do, say, and think has a relevant impact.
Environmental improvement and maintenance is crucial for sustainable development. This concept refers to a economic system that is cooperative with the environment, including clean energy power plants and industry, recycling of human waste, and proper attention, guidance and aid given to struggling or developing countries. In order for a society to develop safely and continue to prosper, a clean and environmentally friendly system must be adopted. This will insure that future generations will be comfortable in the environment we leave for them, or rather, give to them.
American Revolution, Michael Nugent 2004
Sustainable development is important to the lives of all humans. The choices we make about the environment directly effect the way we experience the world. When we see trash on the side walk, it makes us think that people are careless and incompetent, when we all have littered at some point. Or when industries use methods that pollute the air and water, we must develop new ways of producing energy and recycling waste.
Art Help is currently in process to apply for 501(c)(3), or Non Profit Status, with the Internal Revenue Service. This will make Art Help tax-exempt and able to offer tax deductions to all those who make contributions. It also will enable us to donate more, if not all, of our profits to those in need.
