CURRENT NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
11/11/04 - All
managers - as you all know, I am leaving the league once the playoffs are
complete and I can post the final results here one last time. As mentioned
in one of the emails I read a bit ago, you'll need to find someone who is
willing to put together a new website, as I will take this one down sometime
soon after the start of the New Year - it's located on my personal webspace
through my ISP and can't easily be transferred and can't be kept active by
anyone else. I'm sure from the messages I've read you'll have enough
people volunteer to keep things going, with responsibilities spread around a bit
more, which is probably a good thing for all. I'm grateful to you all for
the assistance and camaraderie you've provided over the years - even though my
passion for doing this has burned itself out, that's no reason you all won't be
able to continue and undoubtedly make the league even stronger over time; it's
always been a far bigger entity than any one person and will always remain as
strong as you, the active members make it. (Hopefully Strat-O-Matic will
serve you all better than it did me this year, though!) I wish each
and every one of you well in the future and have every confidence that the ASC
will keep going for another 35 years (I'm thinking that's the tally to date, but
maybe I'm off a year or two on that). Thanks again to all of you and good
luck!
