MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Regular - These persons are able to hold office in the Society, to vote on society matters, to represent the local chapter to the national group and have access to all meetings and other formal and information functions of the society.
Membership requirements include:
A doctoral degree from an accredited university in a field that is more than casually related in either its research or clinical applications to one of the neurosciences.
Demonstrated substantial professional activity or research that involves one or more of the neurosciences.
Endorsements by three members in good standing with the society, the endorsements involving at least two disciplines (e.g. neurosurgery and neurology).
Approval by the membership committee and the board of governors.
Payment of first year's annual dues ($125/year: $125 for renewal).
Associate - A regular member who is either retired or engaged in full-time research or teaching in one of the neurosciences (dues $75/year)).
Corresponding - For those Regular members above who live or work outside of Sedgwick County (dues $50/year) ).
Affiliate/Student/Resident
Degree or certificate in a field that incorporates in its study or practice one or more of the neurosciences. Such fields would include but not be limited to nursing, EEG technician, physical therapy, radiological technician, speech therapy, rehabilitation and others.
Endorsement by two regular members of the society.
Payment of yearly dues ($50).
Affiliates are ineligible to vote or to hold office in the society.
Affiliates are eligible to attend executive committee approved, regularly scheduled programs and meetings of the Society and receive newsletter or society announcements of such meetings.
