The mission of the Wichita Society for Neuroscience is the education of its members in the rapid advances of knowledge in the neuroscience field, the conduction of clinical and basic research in this area and the dissemination of information of advances in the neurosciences to the general population of Wichita and South Central Kansas. The Society is governed by the bylaws of the National Society for Neuroscience. Reflecting the wide diversity of the neuroscience field the membership is open to a wide variety of individuals who can meet the broad acceptance criteria of the Membership Committee commissioned by the Executive Committee for this purpose. Utilization of membership in the Society for purpose of professional advertisement is not allowed and will result in dismissal from the Wichita Society for Neuroscience. Proven evidence of professional misconduct likewise will result in dismissal from the Society.
