Astrophoto's - Venus

These pictures were taken with the 3 inch f/16 Discoverer refractor telescope under windy conditions along with a heavy haze from the humidity and warmth outside. The camera used was the LPI  camera at the prime focus of the telescope. The times were 7:03am; 7:06am;7:10am;7:18am;7:23am respectively.

       

July 11, 2004 - These pictures of Venus were taken in daylight.  Both were taken with the Meade 12" at f/10

The one on the left was taken as follows: 9:10am EDT

LPI Imaging Camera with No. 47 Violet filter
Setting: 95% Image Quality; Kernel Filtering
Gain 47; Offset 13
Exposure: .117 second
Align and Combine 15 images


The one on the right as follows:
8:40am EDT
LPI Imaging Camera
Setting: 95% Image Quality; Kernel Filtering
Gain 47; Offset 13
Exposure: .006 second
Align and Combine 15 images

The final images were processed further using Microsoft Photo Editor.
