American Youth Soccer Organization - Area 12-D

RULES FOR INTERPLAY FOR  U-16 and U-19

INTERPLAY GUIDELINES

FOR AYSO AREA 12D

1. These rules apply to all regular season interplay games, involving teams from one Region playing a team from another Region, or a team from GYSA or any other participating organization. Additionally, when teams from the same Region, who have been playing or will be playing interplay games, play each other, Area interplay rules will also apply.

2. All U-16, U-19, and U-16/19 combined interplay games will be 80 minutes in duration. Games will be played in equal 40 minute halves.

3. Players participating in interplay may play only for one team. If any player participates for an interplay team for which he is not on the roster, the team will forfeit that game, and further disciplinary action may be taken.

4. When a team is designated as a home team on the schedule, that team’s Region, or the GYSA or other organization’s team is responsible for providing a three person referee crew for that game.

5. In the event that a player receives a red card (ejection), or a coach is ejected, in an interplay game, the center referee responsible for that game must report the ejection to the Regional Commissioner of the Region or the GYSA President Bob Lawrence 602-741-9681, the player plays for, or the coach coaches for, as well as the Area Referee Administrator Bob Thew 623-935-3499.

6. If a team cannot attend an Area Interplay game, for any reason, the coach of that team must inform the Area Interplay Coordinator within 48 hours of the scheduled game time. Any rescheduling, postponing or cancellation of Area Interplay games must be approved by the Area Interplay Coordinator Annette Klein (480) 924-9202.
