Color 64 Version 128.32
Version 128 is an UPDATE for Color 64 bulletin board systems that will run your existing
BBS in C128 mode. Individuality has always been one of Color 64's strongest points, which
Version 128 continues. You need not lose all the work you have already put into your
board; a program called MALT interprets your overlays and makes your own personal
merge files for the conversion. This also works with any module or game you add in the
future. Very few changes are required and the computer does them for you!
Some abilities that V128 makes possible are:
Burst mode on 1571/81, ICT, and CMD!
Any overlay can be up to 190 blocks!
TEN times the variable bytes free (How does 40,000 bytes free sound?)
2 mhz in 80 columns!
1.2 mhz in 40 columns!
TWICE as many BASIC commands available!
Almost ALL V128 features and modules are OPTIONAL! Once again, the anti-clone look comes
in.
Here are just a few optional, but built-in, features:
FULL ANSI support! All colors, cursor movement AND graphics are converted to ANSI/IBM graphics. A custom character set is used so that you see what the caller sees!
Network and ComLink compatible!
Plusterm compatible, with several additional abilities!
Automatic screen-pause that won't interfere with graphics!
Local mode full screen Pic-Maker available from DOS! (The only 80 column program available for drawing pics! Independent PD version included!)
FAST file read routine, rewritten completely in ML!
MCI support!
Word-Wrap in chat mode!
Auto-Color Changing in chat according to who typed what!
Messages posted in 40 columns will appear in 80 columns to 80 column users, and vice-versa WITHOUT messing up graphics!
Added CONTROL keys for rainbow, next/previous color, word-delete, copy-last-entry, character flashing and underlining!
Eight programmable ALT-keys!
SysOp View Panel! View user and BBS stats, including part of the caller log, while the user is still online!
Local Buffer gives you all the abilities of a term's buffer while logged on locally!
Variable Killer kills all variables defined in the game, rather that just the DIMs!
Digitations can be played from the BBS. Makes for great chat pages and other signals to the SysOps!
Dual Lines on a Lt. Kernal! Run two phone lines or use one for local mode without tying up the
system!
V128 also has a special overlay devoted to catching errors, taking snapshots of the screens,
reporting the error message to the Caller Log, and returning the caller to the Main Menu!
Some of the optional modules included that only work with Version 128 are:
Display user's stats and BBS stats on split screen while user is online!
Message Editor word-wrap that doesn't "forget" characters while wrapping in local mode!
U/D directory scanner for any part of any filename!
Membership list in memory for fast name searches and logon with name rather than number.
U/D Directory Categories! Can have up to 9 categories of 26 directories each!
Split-Screen Chat mode!
Up to EIGHT (8) message bases! Store more than 400 messages per message base! Have more
than 3,200 messages online!
Many, many other modules and games, that were written by the existing 100+happy V128 owners
are also available!
Network 128 v1.26 and ComLink V2 are included with all V128 orders for your convenience!
Any owners who have questions, or suggestions, can reach Adam Fanello on his board. He
answers all mail within a day or two and is often available for chat!

The only other way to get this much power in a BBS system is to spend hundreds on an
IBM or Amiga program!
Version 128, on the other hand, is no longer available.
