Miss Angela was delivered to the USAAF by Lockheed,
Burbank, CA, on 6 June 1945. After storage, she was reconfigured as trainer
and VIP transport and served Caribbean Air Command, 6th Air Force, from
March 1946 until October 1954. She served two more years at Bolling Field,
Washington, DC. until retired in December 1956. Sold from Davis-Monthan,
AZ, as N3509G in August 1959, she operated with tanker numbers 97, 16,
and 42, until retirement in 1981. N35O9G was removed from storage in 1991
and restored to flying condition in California and Florida before joining
Planes of Fame in March 1993.
