This Lady Justice statue dates back to Roman and Greek times, represented as Themis, the goddess of justice and law. Well known for her clear sightedness, she typically holds a sword in one hand and scales in the other.

During the 16th century, artists started showing the lady blindfolded to show that justice is not subject to influence.

Or, that justice today is indeed blind, meaning that only injustice exists under an oligarchy.

One of the most glaring problems of more than half of all cases in the court today is the enhancement of a supposed "crime" by the presence of a gun. We are guaranteed by the Second Amendment of the Constitution, adopted in 1791, that "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

What part of "shall not be infringed" do we not understand? It doesn't say that a gun can't be sawed off, or modified, or whether or not a "criminal" can own one. It doesn't say that someone with a restraining order can't own a gun. There are no restrictions in the Constitution, yet all sorts of unlawful, but legal "laws" limit gun use, enhance "crime" and sentencing, and cause vast incentive for corruption of our system.

The mere existence of a gun in a closet of your home is the "potential" for violence to enhance your case and your security level for the rest of your life, and a guaranteed additional five years for any sentence, and more years for more guns. There is a glaring fact arising here that calls for "reasonable" gun control and "sensible" gun safety laws that actually result in increased crime.

Laws that are obeyed by law-abiding citizens and not would-be criminals make crime easier. And because some people are labeled as "criminals" by unlawful Statutes and politicians, that now means they lose the right to protect their own lives and the lives of their loved ones. There is an important lesson to be learned from our forefathers about "shall not be infringed." If government can make us all "criminals" by claiming every act to be a felony, then we all become unprotected and easier prey. “Gun control” is not about guns; it is about control.

In 1938, Germany established gun control. From 1939 to 1945, thirteen million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated. Atrocious, you say? In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control under Stalin. From 1929 to 1953, about twenty million dissidents, unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated. In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, one and one-half million Armenians, were rounded up and exterminated. In 1935, China established gun control. From 1948 to 1952, twenty million political dissidents who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated. In 19561 Cambodia established gun control. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated. In 1964, Guatemala established gun control. From 1971 to 1979, one hundred thousand Mayan Indians who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated. In 1970, Uganda established gun control. From 1971 to 1979, three hundred thousand Christians who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

Criminals and governments prone to violence love gun control. It makes their job much safer and easier.

There are only three true enemies of guns: rust, politicians, and ignorance.

The news media constantly pumps us with propaganda that guns are bad, just like drugs are bad, but not one single academic study shows that, 1)The Brady Act, 2)assault weapons bans, 3)State waiting periods, 4)background checks, or 5)tougher gun laws, or, 6)Longer sentences, or any of it, reduces violent crime. In fact, research shows the opposite; that these rules actually increase crime. Gun control advocates, politicians, and the media conveniently ignore that the countries with the highest homicide rates have gun bans.

According to USA Today, an article by John R. Lott, Jr., "Around the world, from Australia to England, countries that have recently strengthened gun-control laws with the promise of lowering crime have instead seen violent crime soar. In the four years after the U.K. banned handguns in 1996, gun crime rose by an astounding 40%. Since Australia's 1996 laws banning most guns and making it a crime to use a gun defensively, armed robberies rose by 51%, unarmed robberies by 37%, assaults by 24% and kidnappings by 43%. While murders fell by 3%, manslaughter rose by 16%.

“The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the law of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence.”   -- John Adams
