Air and Water:
SPA Facilities.
Air and water are provided by SPA inside the XT line.
Outside the XT line air may be purchased at a cost of 1/Cr per day. Wrist bands are temporily color coded going from white to bright red. They may be purchased at kiosks near each revolving airlock in up to 50 day increments . They may be turned in for a refund of the unused portion.
In hotels in The Commons and most of New Town water is supplied with the price of the room. Long term renters and locals typically pay a monthly bill. Only a few transients quaters in Old Town have unmetered water. The rest require coins or if the traveller is lucky a credit chip.
Grote's port is classified by the TAS as an A-4
Port fees:
Up to 1 kton
Parking orbit: (1 week) 10 Cr + 10 Cr/day/kton additional
Dock @ Upport: (1 Week) 100 Cr + 100 Cr/day additional (800 dton Max)
Land @ Downport: (1 week) 200 Cr + 100 Cr/day/kton additional (Maximum static load 150 ton/ft^2)
Crew of ships docked at the upport may ride a port shuttle to Newport and back for free on a space available basis. The shuttle fee is otherwise 10 Cr plus 10 Cr/dton of cargo.
Cargo is handled at the port by the SPA Steveodores at 4 Cr/dton.
Grotes Trade partners
In addition to the normal goods produced by the world, Grotes peculiar position allows the free trader to garner additional freight, cargo and passengers being transshipped from offworld. This has the effect of +2 to Grotes WTN.
