I'm from Australia and it is a 62 swing axle, K&L front end soon to be cut and turned and with a disc brake front end, 1500sp stock engine and a very distinctive paint job! I am already planning it's successor which will be stronger, faster, tougher and better. These photos are from Stradbroke Island and Fraser Island, you may notice in one of them you can see Wes' baja ,which you have photo's of on your site, which has recently undergone a 200hp V6 conversion! You've got a great site and baja bug, keep it up!
This is a lineup from an outing with one of the Austrailian VW clubs. Lee's baja is on the far end and that's wes's V-6 powered baja on the near end.
You can see more of Wes's car on his site.
Here's Dozer facing off with a baja bus (or Kombi as they call them down under). I think dozer would be in trouble, if the bus could catch him.

These are a few more pics of their outing at the beach.
Be sure to checkout MANXCLUB.ORG for more VW offroading from down under.
