These are some older pics of their cars
Here's John ('67 baja), Todd ('73 baja), and Bobski (a.k.a. mudflap '64 baja) terrorizing a
South Seattle neighborhood in snowy weather.... who says you have to go offroad to have fun in a baja.
This is Kurt wetting down the river bank before attempting to climb the 5' nearly straight up bank that the 4x4s couldn't make. He wanted to keep the dust down so he
didn't have to clean his air filter.
Kurt disproves the addage that Super Beetles don't make good
bajas, although he did a lot of front end work to make it hold
up. Also the 140 hp Corvair motor is a nice feature.
Looks like he made over the bank.
4 wheelers eat your heart out!
Passengers view near the Nachez trail..... what could be better?
More snow!!!!!!
Kurt had a little trouble in that last corner. Too much
driver juice maybe?
Kurt: You guys just get out of my way... I don't need a pull.
Well ok... maybe just a little pull.
Herman (kurts dad) comes to the rescue. He's also running a corvair engine, in a standard baja. John's not sure of the year.
This is John climbing a snow covered hill and his buddy Dave is in the back with his '56. Notice the oval window.

Here's Todd pulling Mud Flap out of a ditch.

These pics are of Todd's car blasting through a mud hole in what John calls his low rider days.
Read on to see why.
