It has been raining quite heavily here in Phoenix the last few days. When it rains here your a fool if you don't go out and have some fun in while you can. So I put everything else aside and went out and played!

Here is my 1972 Karman Ghia Baja. I built everything but the frame. It has
a 1994 Subaru engine with multi port fuel injection and has about 150 horse
power. I am also running a bus tranny, which I need to change out soon
because it won't stay in reverse. The picture I am sending is from
6/08/2002 when I got second place in the mud bog. They say I lost by two
inches, but I got there in half the time the winner did.

My baja has a stock 1600 but it gets me an where I'm going on or off road. I've cut and turned the front beam 1/2" and notched and turned the spring plates one inside notch on the rear. My shocks on the front are off of the rear of a 93' mustang. The rear are just coil overs. For tires I'm using 30/9.5 wild cat EXT's on the rear and 275/15 on the front. I'm from Albemarle N.C. We have a club we call REDNECK MOTORSPORTS vw bajas. We ride the trails in the Uwharrie Mountains. We would like for any other bajas or rails to join us.

Dave's doing a little romping in St. Joe State Park in Missouri.
Dave say he has pretty stock large tires
and some shocks. 1600 1969 bug.
Fun time down there.
