He holds music degrees from the University of Arizona and a Doctorate in Music Education from the University of Southern California .
In addition to his teaching and conducting duties for the college, Dr. Sessions maintains an active schedule as a professional
clarinetist (Clarinet a la Swing). He is a guest conductor of bands throughout the State of Arizona and the western United States and was the co-founder of the Scottsdale Community College Summer Music Camp for junior high school students. Dr. Sessions is a past President of the Association of Concert Bands.
A member of Arizona Music Educators Association, he has received the Outstanding Music Educator Award and the Hall of Fame Outstanding Music Administrator Award.
