Giclée (ghee-clay or jee-clay) prints are individually made by using new printmaking technology. I use the services of Grafito in Ocala. The original watercolor is scanned at exceptionally high resolution to capture every detail of the original painting. The expert printer works with the artist to produce an artist's proof that is precisely color matched to the original painting. While the work may be reproduced to various sizes and on different media, my prints are usually the same size as the original watercolor and are printed on heavy textured archival watercolor paper. The inks used at Grafito for giclée prints are archival, with a stability rated for at least 150 years of fade resistance under average indoor light conditions. Each of my prints is signed and numbered and comes with a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity. Contact Barbara Fife if you would like to purchase a giclée print: barbarafife@cox.net
