Just when you get something close to what you want, something has to go off and happen to your pride and joy.

Dodge Dakota Std. Cab 2002 - Purchased and got it on 3/16/02

    I put the full Hotchkis kit on there, (2" lowering springs, 3" lowering leaf springs, and sway bar kit)  oh man, it feels like a sports car, especially in a corner, if you could only imagine. --- http://www.hotchkis.net check out some of the kits they've got there. --- I stuck on the Euro Tail Lights - Carbon Fiber, and also the clear corner lenses up in the front (turn signals). I put the wheel flares on there myself since they didn't come with it. I also put a AIRAID air intake on there, boy do those make a big difference, as well as a 3" out of CAT to a Magnaflow 14" muffler with 2 - 2 1/2" pipes out, a muffler with three inches in and two two and a half  inches out. It sounded pretty damn good for a 6-banger. I put a Pioneer 7400 in my truck, plays CD-R/RW and best of all MP3s which is very convenient, I stuck some Audiobahns in the doors to replace the cruddy factory ones. 6 1/2" in the doors and 4 1/4" behind the seats.

1/23/03 -- 6:30 A.M.

    I was on my way to school, I was in the middle lane of a three lane side, the traffic was all backed up in the left lane, middle lane was clear. So
I was cruising along right at 40 MPH and this girl is making a left hand turn into a high school parking lot, and I didn't see any vehicles trying to turn, well needless to say the left lane was stopped and left a space for her turn. Well instead of her inching her way out, she goes 100% for her turn and boom, I see this red thing, and as right as I see it I airbags where deployed, I was in major shock from there. I didn't have any reaction time at all. The red thing I saw was a '99 Ford Escort, totaled that out right on the spot, her front wheels where on a 45 degree angle, I think her axle broke hum, oh well. I was redirected from her hit and I went over a median for the parking lot, and went over the side walk too, then down into like water retention area, there are a bunch a shrubs in there. Well a bush with a huge trunk actually stopped me. So I had two collisions, the car and then a bush. Well lets just say my back is really out of whack and my neck has spasms.

    Well her insurance people estimated about $8,500 worth of damage and was going to be fixed. So the body shop starts breaking it down, removing the fenders, the hood, the bumper. Then they saw the frame, it folding side ways - ouch :(  boy did I want to cry when I got the phone call from the insurance company and said that they where totaling out with the frame being bent up.

    So here I am today and have to start from scratch, but I am going with something a little bit bigger.

New Truck received 1/31/03

Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 2003

                    I like the Quad Cab, this is a complete change in size. It's not the Hemi but the 4.7L will do, for now.
