This bubble machine uses a separate motor for the wand assembly. This motor is available from Edmund Scientific for around $20, but I've seen it for under $10 from surplus vendors. The motor shaft is coupled to a knob via a plastic tube. These bubble wands make really small bubbles - I'd advise you to add more wands and with bigger holes.
