More great stuff for the classic sound of trumpet, tenor and 'bone: The Bitch is Back - from Elton John before you knew he was gay, Shake Your Tail Feather - from the Blues Brothers and brother Ray Charles, and Temptation Eyes - from the Grass Roots. You remember the Grass Roots, don't you, old timer?
I'm still trying to make the web site look better for everybody. Anyone want to suggest a way to get rid of all the empty space between my nav banner and the rest of the page? Thank you!
New 3 horn charts: 1-2-3 - Gloria Estefan's first big hit - Fabulous horn lines for Trumpet/Tenor/Trombone. Today's Your Birthday - Solomon Burke - Happy Birthday To You it's not, and it's not the Beatles hit, but it's a soulful sentiment for 3 horns and rhythm. Come On Eileen - Dexy's Midnight Runners' only hit - Transcribed for 3 horns with the fiddle parts cued in.
Sweet Home Chicago - The Blues Brothers version for 3 horns (tpt/ten/tbn) and for 2 horns (ten/tbn) added to the catalog. Also, the huge That's How You Know from the movie Enchanted for 3 horns and 4 rhythm. Rhythm part for Delbert's Shakey Ground added.
All this on top of some major web site improvements. I forget sometimes that not everybody is viewing this site on a 20" iMac. Some things have been scaled down and the color scheme is, I think, improved. Message board and community links to come for those of you who would like to dispute this.
Audio samples added! Look for the titles highlighted in light blue. These are recordings of bands who play my charts regularly. Some are short clips, others are full length versions. If you have recordings of your band playing any of my charts, please email me with a link, or send an audio file. You'll be helping your fellow musicians make more informed selections.
More web site improvements! Navigation improved throughout the site. Artist pages are back up with links in the alphabetical pages (combos). Check out the all new Brass Trio page with audio samples and shopping cart features! Links to downloadable lists on the info page are fixed, and the lists have been updated.
Web site update! All the alphabetical pages have been updated to include things I've written over the past year. There are things here I'd forgotten I've done. If you haven't browsed this site in a while, please click on "Combos" and look around.

I know the web site has been looking shabby. It's in the process of being totally redone by people who know what they're doing. Look for a searchable list, click-to-pay and instant downloading when it comes on line. We're also going to try to include sound files, and links to our customers' web sites. Be sure to check back here in May.
Just a quick update. We are still hard at work here writing charts. Updating the web site has taken a back seat for the time being while we're busy filling orders. We have new Michael Buble adaptations for two or three horns with detailed rhythm parts, thanks to Kevin Vars of the great state of Rhode Island. These include Save the Last Dance, How Sweet It Is, Quando, Quando, Quando and Home. A Janis Joplin tribute project in Green Bay, Wisconsin has comissioned horn parts for Move Over, Maybe, Half Moon and Get It While You Can, with many more to come . Thank you, Bruce Parrott! Coming up, a few old Tiajuana Brass things for two trumpets, trombone and rhythm. This customer was outbid on eBay for an out of print TJB song book. Does anybody have access to this material?
I'm afraid we're in damage control mode here as far as the web site. I'm working on a major update while in the midst of an unusually busy concert season, so you'll find some nice new stuff mixed in with some older pages and some things that are unfinished. I'm posting the newer things because some of the older pages got messed up during the upgrade. I hope you can find your way around alright. I'll try to make everything nice before the new year.
The Best Is Yet To Come has been expanded and reduced. This has long been one of my favorite 3-horn charts. One of the challenges I find myself confronted with is taking a big band chart and making it sound good with just a few horns. This was one that I've enjoyed playing with three horns, and it's even better with four. What's more, I'm happy to say that the new two horn version works fine too. Check out this chart and similar on the Frank Sinatra page.
