October 12, 2004                                               NEW

The Digital Depot is now the Vault. As such, you will see some very complete, interesting informative timely reviews of the latest software and hardware on the market. Although this site is small, I do work hard at trying to get to you information about the latest, greatest and sometimes not so great software and hardware on the market.

Today marks the official entry of this site being affiliated with other sites. As time goes by, affiliate links will come up making it easier for you to purchase, and hopefully will provide me with the resources to continue.

Operating a site like this is a labor of love. It takes time, energy and money.

So if you like what you see and you wish to support this effort, I encourage you to contact me about ways you can support this site.

Hosting, finding new material and just making the time to do this site is an operation on its own. I do hope to keep going and if you can help out all the better.

The reason I started this site was because of the fact that it is hard to find good information about software. So much propaganda is out there it is hard to tell who has the real deal and who is just after your hard earned cash.

Upgrades are a fact of life. But, lack of backward compatibility, bugginess, upgrades that offer few compelling reasons to upgrade or products that fill voids that don't exist are a pain.  When I see a progam that strikes out, I am here to tell you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, please share this information with others.

Again, thank you.

First, welcome and thank you for visiting. The origins of this site came about as a result of my frustration in not finding reviews about new products and the difficulty in finding reviews written in plain English.  What I had found on the net were evaluations of computer software and hardware that were often detailed, but not very accessible.

Having come to the computer world initially as a ludite of the worst kind, I transformed after the purchase of my first computer, an IBM 386. After that purchase, I was hooked.  I hardly had my PC for more than a few days before I ran out and purchased an even bigger one.

Over time as I took on new projects and began really learning more and more, I realized that I wanted to share what I had done, as well as continue as a serious writer.

While this is not my first site, I like to consider this one a much easier, and hopefully more enjoyable one.

I do plan to add more material, more reviews and more resources to this site. The only down side is that this does take up time and my own rather limited resources.

If you would like to help, or know of ways I can expand, reach more people and make this site even better, please feel free to email me.  I enjoy hearing from readers and I hope that you come back to my site to see the developments.  I also have links to other sites I have created and other sites where I contribute reviews.

Again, I thank you for visiting, and please come back again.  I wish you well and enjoy the great treasure that wait in cyberland.

 Sincerely,
