![]() Audio Xtract Processional makes it easy to get the job done right the first time. Be it ripping, recording streams, this is about as easy as music gets on the net. For those new to this, Audio Xtract opens up new programming that is not all that easy to find without the aid of a program developed to help you locate it in the first place. Easy to set up, backward compatible with older versions of Windows, and the fact that it works well with the Windows XP Service Pack Two and a plethora of other utilities, you can be certain you will not face conflicts or issues. The interface is clean, sharp and very user friendly. If you are just starting out exploring the web, this is a great way to take advantage of what is out there. |

While duplicating your own private collection of music material for personal use comes under attack, the spirit and freedom to record what you want when you want is alive. Thankfully, there is some truly excellent software available to help you do just that. Jambalaya Brands, a Missouri based software maker known for producing innovative products, is the company behind, AudioXtrac Pro. What this product in essence does is allows you to record music directly from radio stations over the net. Permitting as many as 8 recordings at once, the application also searches the net for radio stations based on genres of music. Included is a sound ripper to transfer music from CD to PC to make the process easier without having to exit to use a third party program. The application is only available in windows, and the ability to convert files from different formats is part of the program. The popular suspects like MP3, WAV, WMA and OGG are supported as one might suspect. There is even a sound editor incorporated into the program. Complete with various editing tools, the heart and soul of the program is finding music on the net and being able to readily record it without leaving the application that found the stations you are seeking. Taking the hassle out of finding obscure internet stations, the program makes short work of locating what you want. The array of material available is much larger than one would imagine. I do advise that those considering the program also consider broadband. Either a cable modem or DSL line are more than likely necessities for a program like this one due to the nature of radio stations over the net. Opening with a start screen that gives instant access to the applications that make up the program, the software is divided into Audio Xtrac Pro, the program that actually locates that stations and allows you to record from them, Audio CD burner for burning, obviously, Sound Editor for making changes to your recorded material, Audi Ripper for ripping CD’s and Audio Converter to convert from one format to the next. Available as a stripped down version is Audio Xtract for about $ 19.99 for those that may not need all of the extras of the professional version. Should you have the high end programs like Audition or Soundforge, you may be interested in just the essentials. The big difference feature wise are the conversions built into the pro edition. Should you not have them, it is not never a bad idea to have such features built in if only for ease of use. Taken as a collective package, Audio Xtract Pro fills a serious void in music software and in the process makes finding radio stations on the net about as easy as one two three. Summation For music lovers and those that like to share and care, Audio Xtract Pro is a great deal of fun. The interface is easy to work with, as well as aesthetically pleasing to view. Taken as a collective package, Audio Xtract Pro and the regular Audio Xtract are well worth spending time getting to know better if you really want to see the range of material out there on the net. While you can go for free commercially available mainstream software and services that offer up music for a fee and limited use radio stations, Audio Xtract Pro opens doors to stations that may be overlooked, if not ignored. Even if you are huge fan of the better known existing players, Audio Xtract Pro opens doors that most of use have never thought to open because we just didn't know that there is that much out there in the market place. Breaking down music into categories, and saving you time finding stations you want, these are the key assets to Audio Xtract Pro. As a way to have a good time while online, this is a truly enjoyable stress free way to explore music on the net without the drama or the trauma. |
