Here is a few things we all can do to observe our fallen heros on Memorial Day:
- by flying the US Flag at half-staff until noon.
- by flying the 'POW/MIA Flag' as well .
- by participating in a "National Moment of Remembrance": at 3 p.m. to pause and think upon the true meaning of the day, and for Taps to be played.
- by renewing a pledge to aid the widows, widowers, and orphans of our fallen dead, and to aid the disabled veterans.
Memorial Day Thoughts
I stood up for what was right
left this earth one fateful night.
I ask that you to pray for me
and help watch over my family.
On this day I remember those
who's lives have come to a close.
Those who gave all they had
men just like my dear old dad.
Fighting for the red, white and blue
and for the rights of me and you.
So remember those who gave it all
those men of honor who stood tall.
From many wars through out our past
our countries shape they helped to cast.
Pride for the people on our shores
our men and women who died in many wars.
