What would it be like,
if we didn't have a friend.
No one to care for us,
its so hard to comprehend.
To be all alone in this world,
with no one at our side.
No one to nurse our wounds,
and in no one to confide.
Oh what a lonely place,
this world would really be.
If I was left here all alone,
I'm sure you all agree.
So when you see an old one,
who is left to die alone.
Remember that you will age,
its not something we can postpone.
Love and compassion,
can help a lonely soul.
Even those with Alzheimer's,
likes for us to console.
Just say your blessings,
and ask that you be spared.
That you will have your senses,
and not be left impaired.
