Urban Cowboy was for show,
in real life you make no dough.
It's up at sunrise do the chores,
hoping you still got clean drawers.
Rain or shine you can not stop,
It's not a bar or fancy shop.
A cowboy does what he believes,
he goes to work and rolls up his sleeves.
Life is hard but it has its rewards,
might not be prettier then the house of lords.
Its all hard work and dedication,
mixed in with a whole lot of frustration.
But when the days done and we come inside,
to a loving family and a beautiful bride.
Who knows how hard it is out there,
which modern TV cowboys are unaware.
To work this ranch and herd of ours,
takes a lot more then playing guitars.
The blisters we earn from working hard,
and holes in the boots that we've had to discard.
Why would anyone want to go thru all of this,
the many hardships that really exists.
Maybe its the life in Gods creation,
together with love, and determination.
