The simple life from which we came,
it's still not quite just the same.
The faster pace of life today,
causes many to forget to pray.
Mother used to be home for us all,
with love and kisses big and small.
Every summer we took our vacation,
now we're all occupied by our occupation.
No time to rest and sit still for awhile,
seems like resting is not worthwhile.
Who is left to teach kids the rules,
I hope it is more than just the schools.
Remember our family and sit back and enjoy
don't push them aside and let it destroy.
Keep your work at work and home time free,
