Once I met this little girl,
who really caught my eye.
I thought that I'd marry her
it would last until I die.
Good friends we did become
before we said our vows.
Many years we've been together
my heart she can still arouse.
A loving family we did raise
that have made us very proud.
I think God has given me
more happiness than allowed.
There have been some hard times
when things got pretty rough.
But our love was very strong
which we had just enough.
Now with our family grown
the money problems went away.
And we are much more stable
which we thank God when we pray.
Now there is our grandkids
with which we love so much.
I would give them anything
which makes me an easy touch.
But my children have made me proud
and my wife is still at my side.
My pride makes me feel I'm rich
along with my beautiful little bride.
