Way up in the high country
where Alligator Juniper grows.
Lives a herd of deer
with at least a dozen doe's.
The red oak comes alive
with the aspen in the fall.
The colors look like fire
in the sun it will enthrall.
The air so nice and crisp
right after the first of dawn.
The deer are moving freely
the doe with her new fawn.
Away from the spoils of man
in the land our maker made.
The virgin forest stands
it escaped the loggers blade.
Without our human touch
it stands just as it was.
May it always stay this way
so our future can applause.
For there is no prettier site
than nature raw and pure.
With the animals and trees
all grown and all mature.
