On a Christmas eve some time ago,
your mother did give birth.
To my very special, and best friend,
more so, than anyone on earth.

On that day no one knew,
that we would come to share.
Love for one another,
and both kids, we did bare.

We raised them both, best we could,
and they both, do make us proud.
Like I said in the wedding,
until death do us part I vowed.

We endured the good times,
and bad times, we grew strong.
I wish I had the talent,
to write you a song.

To tell you how much, I love you,
and what you mean to me.
Because with out you here,
There is no one I care to see..

Our family has grown up,
and left, to be on their own.
And to see, how good they are,
now that they are fully grown.

Their families are growing,
like ours did a time ago.
It does our hearts so good,
to see the love, they bestow.

I know our work is done,
and now we see its reward.
We did our jobs so well,
we'll never be ignored.

Peggy dear I Love you so,
I still can't put it to rhyme.
I do know, that we'll be together,
For now, and the rest of time.
