Those gentle summer rains,
help cool the air in town.
Rains wash off all the dust,
bring flowers from the ground.
'Tis rain that makes the rhythum,
on that tin roof as it falls.
A rhythum that is appreciated,
right here between these walls.
The clover growing wild,
in fields all wet with rain.
This also helps the live stock,
as it great for growing grain.
Yes the gentle summers rain,
is needed by all mankind.
For if it would stop coming,
our world would all unwind.
Children love the rainbows,
that follow the falling rain.
It helps the little creatures,
for substance to sustain.
Summer Rains often causes,
the rivers to raise and flood.
And once the water recedes,
the earth has turned to mud.
Then the rains come again,
so it can wash the dirt away.
I love the summer rains,
yes Mother natures display.
