Have you ever seen the country
When the snow lies deep and white,
And the stars make silver candles
On a moonlit winter night.

Have you ever seen the country
When the hills were all aglow,
And trees were trimmed in ermine,
From the newly-fallen snow.

Then you've seen the beauty of winter,
With new snow upon your lawn,
Crispy, frosty, golden moonbeams,
Translucent pearls of dawn.

For winters breathless time of love
Whisperes across the land,
When the Christ Child let all christens,
Touch each other's hand.

'Tis when church choirs sing,
About a saviour's birth,
For in that far-away manger,
He brought hope, to this earth.

Winter's a season of beauty,
There's joy in winters art.
Translucent pearls and silvery candles
Puts magic in my heart.
