Jyoti, sometimes known as Princess Joyti, was a gift from my caring friends to help me through a very difficult time in my life. At the time of being presented with this bundle of fur, which turned out to be a little blue Abbysinian, I was horrified. Exclaiming "I can't have a cat!!" Rachel put the whole thing into perspective by saying "Why? Are you going to eat it?"In her short life Jyoti brought me love, joy, companionship and aggravation. We moved house together, fought over the couch and bedspace and a suitable time for dinner. While the love I got from her was not unconditional, it was the next best thing. She had attitude, ran my life, squinted at me when she was thinking and walked like John Wayne and I loved her.
Jyoti crossed the rainbow bridge, while I was on holidays with my family (Dad, Sister, Brother-in-law and nephews) at Disneyland. Typical of her to leave without saying goodbye, but I still expect her to march through the balcony door at any minite calling me. She was only with me for three years and I miss her. An artist friend of mine is doing a charcoal drawing of her for me from the few photos of her I had.
I have a new little girl now called Holli, another blue Abby. She's so sweet and so different form Jyoti. Yet she has the same loving nature, is into mischief and trying to train me just right. She's just learned to fetch and I can't sit anywhere without getting a purple mouse in the lap and 'Priippp' (play with me Mum)
Lovingly, MeowmieNaomi
