LITTLEFOOT
April 1, 1990 - December 7, 2007
On December 7th, our precious Littlefoot left us and began her journey
to Rainbow Bridge.
17 years may seem like a long time; but, it seems only yesterday that I
first saw that tiny, beautiful face peek out from under our daugher's
house.
It was love at first site for both me and Mike; and, we both knew that
our lives would never be the same, as we brought Littlefoot home with
us.
Littlefoot was destined to become the "Queen of Dana Point";
and, she
ruled the house with a soft, fluffy iron paw :).
A big piece of my heart went to the Bridge with Littlefoot;
and, nothing
will replace that piece until the day that I see her again.
We miss our precious little girl, terribly; and, we'll always love her.
Littlefoot will always be with us, in our hearts and in our
memories......
Meowmie Ellie says that when they first brought Littlefoot home
that their 22 pound male orange tabby, named Mewpe,
took over the job of "mama" to Littlefoot.
He was her "mama" until he went to the Bridge. I know that he's also her "mama" at the Bridge, too.
Bambi went to the Bridge in 2005 (2 years ago) on Dec. 13th;
and, Mewpe is taking care of both of "his" little girls :(
While a baby, Littlefoot would suckle my neck and arm and continued to do it long after she was not a
kitten.
When she got much older,
she would lick my right arm, furiously
(not like washing)
while she lay across my lap;
and, I was petting her.
She did this several times a day!
Also several times a day.... she loved to be carried around;
and, she
would walk right in front of Mike or me,
meowing loudly,
just about
tripping us, until we picked her up and carried her around.
She would
look at everything, as if it was the first time she ever saw it -
remember, she lived her whole life in this tiny condo; so, nothing was
really new.......
Littlefoot was not only a true torti, she was a little wild feral
kitty.
I don't think she was effur truly domesticated.
That's what
gave her such a huge purrsonality :))))

BAMBI
November, 1993 to December 2005
Where Littlefoot was the head of the curiousity committee and loved to
rule the house,
Bambi was quiet and very easy going.
To Bambi, a good
tummy rub was almost as good as having turkeymeat.
Bambi was truly my shadow. If I was sitting, she wanted to sit in my
lap.
If I was walking, she was following me. If I was sleeping, she
had to share my pillow.
In fact, if I didn't go to bed, when she was ready, she would just take
my space
and give me a dirty look when I finally got in bed;
but, she
would soon forgive me and cuddle up, while I put my arm around her and
held her.
Bambi was the most affectionate and innocent cat I've ever met. She
truly had no agenda, unlike most cats. She greeted everyone by rolling
onto her back and inviting them to rub her rather abundant tummy.
I'll never stop missing my Bambi. My pillow is empty without her; and,
my heart went to Rainbow Bridge with her.
