Fantasy Skyscraper

This is a make-believe skyscraper I constructed.  It is a curious blend of modern, industrial architecture combined with classical Baroque and Neo-Classical artistic motifs.

The structure is approximately 17 stories high.

The picture below shows the neo-classical penthouse.  It comes complete with a yard and swimming pool.

The picture below shows the Baroque entrance to the building.  This portion of the building is based on the interior of a  church called S. Lorenzo, in Turin, Italy.  Some gardens and a small pool (no swimming in this one!) adorn the front plaza.

The image below shows the view walking towards the main entrance.  The Baroque curves are nicely visible in this shot.  Note the curves surrounding the central door.  These are "inverse" 1/2 arches mounted vertically on an Aquazone column.

Possibility of real LEGO construction:

When I originally designed this building, I thought it would be impossible to build it in real life due to the huge amounts of 1x4x6 white windows used as well as the number of 4x4x1 curved bricks.  However, thanks to BrickLink and the introduction of 4x4x6 curved panels, this building is now a reality!  Take a look at this link.
