Chamber of Forgiveness

In mid 2001, the church began to sense that some of its flock were failing to meet their financial obligations to the group.  Some way was needed to correct this problem and ensure that the members were forgiven in God's eyes.

The entire church was lifted up one level and a new first floor was added, devoid of any external windows.  A dark chamber was chiseled from the plastic separated from the entry hall with a panel of frosted emerald glass.

When the church re-opened, some members were dismayed at the apparent screams of agony emanating from beyond the emerald panel in the entry hall.  This panel was dubbed the "Panel of Pain."  The church explained that this was the cry of sinners reaching up from Hell begging for forgiveness.  This scare tactic seemed to get most church members back into the fold.  Unfortunately, a few members continued their sinful failure to pay their tithing.  These members received an invitation to a special church party.  At exactly midnight, they were to show up in the entry hall and prepare for a great revelation.

The members showed up and once they had all entered the church, the outer doors swung shut.  Then, the mystical emerald panels opened, revealing a dark, foreboding chamber beyond.  The members screamed in fear, but the chamber quickly filled with gas putting them to sleep.

The members awoke bound to the inner wall of the chamber. Every 2 hours, each member was subjected to a brutal session of physical and mental abuse, led by mistress Fiona of the Dark.  Throughout the torture, she would ask why they chose to sin. Why could they not see the light and contribute their share?  She repeatedly affirmed that she was helping them by obtaining their forgiveness in the current life rather than the afterlife.

After 2 weeks of torture and another week of rest, the members were re-released back into the general population.  Before release, they were hypnotized so that they could never repeat what had happened in that horrible chamber.

Thus, the Chamber of Forgiveness has greatly solidified the financial responsibility of the flock.  Unfortunately, every month, a few members slack off and must be shown the way.

The current keeper of the chamber is mistress Diana.  The keepers rotate through the "guests" constantly, maintaining a 24-hour a day firestorm of corrective punishment.  To do this, they are given a cocktail of cocaine, speed, and heroine.  This keeps them at peak efficiency for about 1 week after which time they are completely exhausted and must be replaced with another keeper.  Young women in the church are specially selected for this task and consider it the highest honor.

Some mistakes have been made.  The "white" gentleman in this shot didn't survive.  He fought the regimen to the end, refusing to beg for forgiveness.  His remains are kept in the chamber to remind others of their possible fate if they resist.

This picture shows two other members waiting their turn to be forgiven.

The member on the bottom-right, currently on the "slab of tears," has caused a good deal of trouble.  He used to stand with his ear to the "panel of pain" and asked far too many questions about it.  Although he paid his dues, it was felt that this member was too nosy and needed to be taught a lesson.  He was brought in at night and submitted to the forgiveness process.  He did not resist at all and had a strange look in his eye the whole time.  When his time was up, he almost looked sad.  He was released back into the community and was fine for a few weeks, but then completely cut off his payments to the church.  Dismayed, the church decided that they would try again and sent him his special "invitation."  Unfortunately, when they tried to take him back into custody, he flashed a big smile and muttered "Spank me, I've been bad!"  This time, the member is getting twice the amount of torture, but he actually seems to enjoy it.  The church is wildly confused and has been praying to find some solution to help this demented member of their organization.
