This is the long range monorail developed to shuttle citizens between Bricktopia and its various suburbs. Compared to the standard inner-city "airport shuttle" monorail, this high speed variety is wider (6 studs tapering back to 4 studs on the top and bottom) and longer. This provides for additional capacity and passenger comfort.

This shot shows the rear of the monorail. One can clearly see the "A-frame" layout of the body. The upper panels are fastened using a belt system that keeps the panels tipped to the required angle. When the monorail stops at a station, an attendant must unlatch the rubber belt to slide the panels open.

In the above picture, one can see the monorail in its maintenance configuration. All passenger areas are open as well as the engine and power storage compartments. The power comes from the "<9V>" power cell in the rear car. The engine is stored in the small vertical cylinder situated in the middle of the train. One can see how both the front and rear passenger compartments have the capability to accommodate up to 3 passengers. The Bricktopia government insisted on the sleekest, most modern design possible. Unfortunately, this constrained the vertical height of the train such that passengers cannot be accommodated with seats. Passengers must sit on the floor. Luckily, LEGO passengers come equipped with convenient sockets on the bottom of their legs to keep them firmly in place during high-speed maneuvers..

This final shot shows a close-up of the front car of the monorail. One can see the sleek new styling and use of the new dark red and lime green decorations.
