BrickTopia institutes heavy fees on all visitors entering the city via the harbor.
As one might imagine, not all visitors want to pay these fees.
To ensure compliance, the city designed and built a fleet of attack helicopters, designated XH-98. These helicopters are based at the Coast Watch HQ, and dispatched as needed to intercept all incoming shipping. One of these helicopters appears below:
The XH-98 has two large jet engines on the back, and four auxilliary engines towards the front. Although a gas-guzzler, these craft are designed to move quickly to the offending vessal and dish out some pain!
Upon arrival, the XH-98 can strafe the desired target with 4 front-mounted cannons. Normally, these cannons are synchronized forward, but each one can pivot up to 90 degrees independantly for a particularly wide "spray."
Sometimes, such strafing isn't enough, and heavier fire power is needed. The picture below shows the underside of the craft. In addition to guns, each helicoptor carries 4 MKII Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) bombs.
These bombs are dispatched at high altitude and guided by laser to the target. At about 100 feet, the bombs explode and emit a massive pulse of electricity that fries all circuitry below it. One bomb is usually sufficient to completely disable any ship that refuses to comply with instructions. The BrickTopia government can subsequently take over and sell the ship for extra profit.
The picture below shows an XH-98 in the construction yard undergoing final tests. The pilot sits in front, with the weapons operator (lying down) behind.
Almost all of the gray elements of the helicopter are fashioned from the newer "bluish" gray hues. The engine pods at the rear are an exception, and due to availability problems, had to be installed using the older, "dirty" gray.
