DELP Meeting – July 25, 2007
John Angiolillo has sent out the LACE make-up training reports. I'm particularly concerned about those Divisions that have less than 40% of their officers trained. Hopefully, there are many clubs who prefer to go to their own Division's make-up training. Division E's make-up has already been held. Four Divisions will host make-up training in the next five days
The Achievers (9331) and Advanced Leaders Training (6570) may offer training on an ad hoc basis.
Area Governors conducting training should concentrate on the officer roles inside and outside the club, and explain how these duties fit into the Distinguished Club Plan. Performing one-on-one training is very time intensive. Ask past district officers to help out.
We'll be having the Tall Tales contest in the Fall this year. Area governors – be sure to get the news out to the clubs. This is an experiment – depending on how things go, we may alternate the Tall Tales and Humorous contests on different years.
Please send (or have Area Governors send) contest dates and times to Lorinda Chard lorindachard@gmail.com , so she can compile a master list, and we can see where our time crunches will be.
The Conference Planning team met last Sunday to discuss the Fall conference. We have a tentative agenda, but it may need to be revised substantially.
During the meeting, Division E Governor Shelley Alongi asked about a presentation to brief her Area Governor on the completion of the Competent Leader manual.
Due to the long driving time involved, and the small audience, I will try to organize a conference call instead. Then perhaps more can participate.
