And so it begins...
A while back I mentioned that I was going to do the political post which would share with you all why we are doomed. It would seem the evening news headlines have already done so for me. Here we are, not even 24 hours after the nation's first primaries and it's already starting to scare me.
The original intent of this post was going to show how if Guiliani was to actually win the Republican nomination and Hillary was to win the other side then it really wouldn't matter--because they are essentially the same candidate. Sure, Rudy may be "Republican enough" in NYC, but to most of us he's as much a Republican as AAAAhnold. Which isn't really much at the end of the race.
Now, with the first results in, it would seem that Hillary might actually be able to pull it off--become the first woman to win a national party nomination. That I know of, anyway. And at a very close second, much closer I'm sure than the Clinton camp would've liked, is The Obama. Not quite sure what to make of him yet, but I do recall that just 6 months ago, he was the guy who didn't have enough experience to be a serious contender.
Sadly, my guy finished 3rd. And if we're honest, it wasn't a very strong third. I guess it's time to really start doing my homework on these guys. And one gal. What a thoroughly uninspiring thought.
