CLASSROOM & STUDY HALL BEHAVIOR Our statement of purpose relates that our teachers perpetuate ethical principles based on Biblical moral values reflecting Christian integrity while promoting high academic standards. So that teachers can be effective in their classroom and optimum learning can take place, teachers will need to have proper classroom government. There are four (4) general areas of behavior that need to be addressed: 1. Students should show respect to all who are in authority over them. 2. Students should show respect for their classmates. 3. Students should commit to complete all assigned work. 4. Students should not discuss problems with others who are not directly related to the problem. SPECIFIC GUIDELINES: 1. Students will be prompt for each class. 2. Students will be prepared with necessary materials and completed assignments. 3. Students will attend all classes. NOTE: It is imperative that parents inform the teacher, (if possible, before the student is absent) or COACH if their student will be absent. The COACH cell phone number is (405) 615-1249. 4. Assignments are not optional, and are only beneficial when completed. Grades will be given based on work assigned by the teacher. Problems with assignments should be personally discussed with the teacher by appointment. Final grades are the responsibility of the parent. 5. Gum is NOT ALLOWED anytime. 6. Students are not permitted to have or use cell phones or pagers in the classroom or study hall. Devices will need to be turned off and put away. If there is an emergency, parents should contact COACH’S cell phone (405)615-1249. 7. CD players, tape players, headphones, MP3 players or other similar devices are not allowed in the classroom or study hall. (Tape recorders are allowed upon permission of the teacher). 8. The teacher’s or monitor’s permission is required and a hall pass before leaving the classroom or study hall for any reason other than an extreme emergency. Infraction of any guideline is subject to disciplinary procedures.
