Turntable Display Lamp

My first Turntable Display Lamp is  complete.  It is  a solid maple table top lamp with a lighted display case as its base. Built into the floor of the display case is a slowly turning turntable (2 1/2 rpm). The front and sides are plastic windows while the back wall is a mirror and also the door ,with a brass latch. A 3-way switch turns on just the overhead lamp, just the inside light and turntable, or all together. (We've replaced the owl with my wife's crocheted angel).

The base is 12" square. Height to the brass neck is 15 3/4" and to the top of the finial is 32". Inside the display case is about 8" square, to the windows, and 12" high. The turntable is 6" diameter. It is partially recessed into the floor. I guess it is best to let folks buy their own lampshade elsewhere. This one is 18" diameter at the base and 13" high.

We enjoy setting up different things to display from time to time. We've replaced the owl with an angel my wife crocheted. The internal light, 20 watt halogen, is ideal for giving some light while watching TV. And, you can watch your display turn during commercials! The lamp is ideal for display of collectables, miniatures, or seasonable items. See the photo gallery for more decorating ideas.
