These multiple-image photographs explore different ways of breaking out of the rectangular frame of the camera viewfinder and customary print. Each mode of doing so is specific to the opportunities and restrictions encountered in the original image or images. Sometimes portions of the main image area are isolated and changed or repositioned to create a tension or interplay with the lines and compositional balance. But the challenge always is to enhance and never violate the integrity of the initial image.

These archival inkjet photographs were printed with an Epson 2200. Pigment inks, UV-treated matte paper and acid-free mounting components were used. If kept out of direct sunlight, these photographs have a rated life upwards of 100 years before noticeable discoloration will occur.
